Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen – Movie Review

Took the fam to see the midnight premiere of the new Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen movie. Being a huge Transformers fan as a kid, I was anticipating this sequel even more than the first movie.  Don’t worry, you will find NO SPOILERS here.

The action started within the first few minutes and the special effects are absolutely INCREDIBLE! The sheer epic proportions of the battles and vast visuals created by director Michael Bay, Executive Producer Steven Spielberg, and visual effects & animation by Industrial Light & Magic, are stunning to say the very least.

As with most movie premieres that amass a huge following and fans of old, this one attracted a very enthusiastic and excited audience, with explosive applause and laughter. Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen was not only fantastically action-packed, but had the right amount of comedy and romance.

Although I found this movie to be more perverse in language than the first movie, it did add an edginess that the first one lacked. If your cautious about letting your 5-year-old hear words more harsh than “shit,” than you may want to leave them at home. Keep in mind it’s not a profanity fest, but there are some edgy characters.

I also found myself laughing at myself because I was all tensed up in some of the battle scenes. Especially, in the forest fight scene, which was an emotional roller coaster.

The creators also added a little more character to the Transformers that added more depth to the movie. “The Twins” were highly entertaining. Megan Fox is even more gorgeous in this flick, so the guys won’t be disappointed. Shia LaBeouf’s character also has retained the same wit and charm as the last movie. I definitely recommend seeing this one. It has it all.
